Description
Driving along Queen Elizabeth Way toward Toronto, I had to do a double take, as I was sure I had just seen a wrecked ship along the shoreline. After turning around and parking this massive replica shipwreck presented itself along the rocks. I’d later learn this was the La Grande Hermine, which was constructed in 1914 and operated as a restaurant, casino, and ferry before falling victim to arson in 2003.
